A floating necklace is a type of necklace that hangs down from the wearer's neck and has a pendant or other object that "floats" in the middle. The object may be made of any material, but is typically a light-weight metal such as aluminum. It's suspended by two pieces of string or wire that are attached to the ends of the pendant.
